Wooden Trestle Spanning a Branch of the Menominee River  Contributor's Pick!
On the Wisconsin side of the Menominee River, the CNW ran along Water Street and had this branch come off to access an island with multiple water front businesses at this Great Lakes port city. In the early 20th Century, there was a myriad of tracks in this industrial area. Today, there is but the remains of one spur that runs to a Waupaca Foundry facility. It is out of service, and mostly torn up. This trestle remains as the most visible piece of that line.
