CN 558108
Title:  CN 558108

Expera Specialty Solutions
Title:  Expera Specialty Solutions
Description:  A look at an original part of the Nicolet Mill. The mill dates from 1892 under Kimberly Clark along the Fox River. The water intake gates are visible along the water. Fitting that an old part of the complex still carries the Nicolet Mill banner. The new corporate name leaves one wondering exactly what they make. Here, at least historically, it is paper. Whenever a new entity takes over a mill, the first thing I wonder, is how long until they close it? I hope this is not the case for the mills taken under the Expera corporate structure.

Expera Specialty Solutions (Nicolet Mill)
Title:  Expera Specialty Solutions (Nicolet Mill)
Description:  A look into a car shed at the old Nicolet Mill in De Pere. Unfortunately, car numbers are not apparent on these boxcars from the vantage point of the photographer. It makes one wonder if they are for inter-plant use only or are the also used in interchange service. Unfortunately, there is no way to get a look at the car sides without bribing the security guards with a donut.

Expera Specialty Solutions
Title:  Expera Specialty Solutions
Description:  A look at the old Nicolet Mill from the Main Avenue bridge across the Fox River. The mill has a long history with affiliation to many highly regarded paper companies. The mill is a mix of old and new buildings with numerous additions making for an interesting skyline. Interesting to note, a more modern part of the mill with the modern new name.

IC 3115
Title:  IC 3115
Description:  Pulling up grade to extract cars from Expera Specialty Solutions Nicolet Mill, the train negotiates a curve and bypasses a large electrical sub station. Though one can capture images from public property, if one lingers too long in the area, Expera's security may come out to confront photographers. Just a heads up to prepare would be photographers.
