Milwaukee Road Station |
Description: |
The Milwaukee's Station in Menominee still has some rails near it, buried in the dirt. The rails do not connect with the rest of the world though. There are also some remanants of the brick platforms left on the lot. This would seem to indicate that the station has not been relocated in Menominee as the one in Marinette, across the border, has. |

Milwaukee Road Station |
Description: |
The bay window was toward the mainline to Green Bay on this former Milwaukee Road depot. A track which branched off south of the building and passed on the west (opposite) side went on to Menasha. In the early 2000's one could find men from the sub's section gang working out of this structure. The building had been refurbished with new windows and doors along with the addition of the garage door on the north end for the maintenance crews. Currently the windows are all boarded up and the building doesn't seem to be used much anymore. At least it is in very good shape, hopefully the CN will not tear this one down. |

Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad Depot |
Description: |
This Italianate style depot was built in 1871 by the Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad (Milwaukee Road). It served for both passenger and freight business until the new passenger station was built a couple hundred feet to the south of it in 1907. The Caldwell Lumber Company, formed in 1919 took over us of the structure some time shortly after the new depot was built. Besides being used by Calwell Lumber (still in operation) the building has also been used as a warehouse for Vita-Plus. |
