14th Avenue Grade Crossing
Tank cars are spotted at Blended Waxes along CN's former Chicago and Northwestern line in Oshkosh. The grade crossing is located at what was the south end of the CNW yard in Oshkosh. Some of the yards remains are visible waiting to be cleaned up. twnet years before this photo, an old CNW 40' boxcar could usually be found spotted on this end of the yard. It was used, so I am told, as a buffer car to reach into the Blended Waxes spur, because of the tight curves to get in there. The spur has been realigned and the boxcar has moved on into oblivion.
