Oshkosh Yard Office
A look at the station adjacent the Oshkosh siding. The ballast in the foreground once held a CNW yard. I am uncertain whether the CNW built the smaller station building, it seems to be old enough and the architecture matches other CNW structures I am familiar with (Neenah yard office, for one) to indicate it is CNW built. The larger shed was put in under the Fox River Valley Railroad in the either 1991 or 1992. I worked at an adjacent property and figured the shed to be an engine house to protect the old GP7 or GP9 (I can't recall the engine number of the unit usually here) that was stationed here to serve Oshkosh. Alas, no rails were ever laid to the structure as it was used for M.o.W. services.

T. P. Bruss General Nice scene and interesting information. Too bad about the yard though. 2/24/2018 3:07:59 AM
