A solid train of hoppers waits south of the diamond at Junction City. The tain will soon be given clearance to move through the interlocking and head to it's left to the west. The view is from the heart of the city looking south along the former Milwaukee Road right of way that ran from New Lisbon north to Wausau and beyond. The east west line through Junction City was the Soo's (WC) line to Minneapolis/St. Paul. The junction has changed a bit from the days of the Soo Line and Milwaukee Road. |
