Picking up cars from storage at Fisk. The train is on its way to Oshkosh. The Tate and Lyle tanks will either be going to or are coming from the Smuckers facility in Ripon. My best guess is that they are empties picked up on the trains way through Ripon to Oshkosh, since when heading to Oshkosh, it is a trailing point switch. |

The WSOR working on the spur to the Seneca canning facility located on former Chicago and Northwestern right of way. Ripon was once home to an at grade crossing of the Chicago and Northwestern and the Milwaukee Road. The Milwaukee Road line is still in use as a branch from Horicon to Oshkosh with the WSOR. The Chicago and Northwestern line in use is only two short spurs from the junction. One is a storage track along Gothic Mill Pond. The other is to the canning plant, about a half mile to the east of the junction. |

Working from the east end of the small yard on the west side of Oshkosh. The WSOR has a small yard here to work the former Milwaukee Road line. Where this small yard is located, the WSOR had a transload facility for everythhing from intermodal, grain and wven coal. The WSOR had a circus style piggy-back ramp along with a piggy-packer, though they didn't generate much in the way of piggy-back business in Oshkosh. Presently, ADM now owns or at least leases the property that isn't the R.o.W. and works the grain traffic out of and into Oshkosh. The facility is also now a transload facility for Fox River Valley Ethanol. (formerly Utica Energy) Ethanol is loaded into tanks for rail shipment. The ATW flat is an empty spotted at Leeco, waiting to go back to Horicon and wherever else it may end up. |

Beaver Dam Switching |
Description: |
After leaving part of the train in the clear, west of N. Center Street, the Cmbria sub job switches the industrial park in Beaver Dam. The railbox car is on a spur leading to some businesses also. There are two spurs leading off the branch main at this park. There are quite a few customers here. The Milwaukee Road used to run into downtown Beaver Dam and do switching along a return loop of track. The traces of the right of way for the loop are still visible, though the rails have been torn up. This park is located closer to the main of the branch and is the new center of manufacturing, as the downtown district is being redeveloped from industry. |

Description: |
A typical set of WSOR GP38 type units at Ripon Junction. During the days of the Milwaukee Road, this junction is where the line went off to the east to Oshkosh or north to Rush Lake. At Rush Lake, there was another junction which allowed trains to run west to Berlin or north to Omro and Winneconne. The track that went to Rush Lake now terminates at Oshkosh Street which is a couple hundred feet in front of the 3811. The junction itself is within the confines of Alliance, formerly Speed Queen, factory that manufactures commercial laundry equipment. Alliance receives covered hoppers via WSOR. |

Description: |
Three units pull a WSOR train into its small yard in Oshkosh. Decades ago, before this location was absorbed into Oshkosh, it was known as Fitzgerald. Back then, there were still a couple miles to traverse before arriving in Oshkosh. |

Description: |
A WSOR train reaches Oshkosh and enters the small yard. In reality this "yard" is not much more than a run around and is adjacent to the United Co-Op elevator facility with its numerous tracks. There is also a spur which serves as the WATCO Port and Terminal facility in Oshkosh, trans-loading granular commodities into these two bay covered hoppers via conveyor. The terminal facility also is involved in transferring between truck and tank cars marked with "inedible tallow". The flat cars with plate steel on them will be going to one or both of the two steel processing centers located on the line. |

WSOR 3812 |
Description: |
A WSOR train approaches Island Road from the east on its return to Horicon from Oshkosh. The train is about half way between Pickett and Ripon. Though not as refined as their maroon and silver mates, there is something appealing about the scabby blue workhorses sometimes referred to as Mexi-wrecks. |

In the winter/spring of 2016, WATCO started a terminal operation in Oshkosh on the former Strey Construction spur. This facility is equipped for trans-loading granular materials from truck to rail. One of the conveyors is visible through the trees. The facility is located on the south side of the line, opposite what is now the United CO-OP elevator, along the former Milwaukee Road branch from Horicon to Oshkosh. |
